Advance Planning

The wedding experts at Destination Weddings Tulum will assist you in:

• The selection of services traditionally required for your wedding, including a choice of many fine locations, your officiant (religious, civil, maya, symbolic),  the wedding flowers and decorations, a photographer and videographer, catering location and menu selections, transportation, accommodations, and any other services required to make your wedding day complete.
• Checking availability and booking all wedding service providers on your behalf.
  Establishing a detailed timeline of your wedding day so that all will run smoothly when the day arrives.
• Contacting your wedding service providers one week prior to your ceremony for a confirmation of services, deliveries, set-ups, and other details pertaining to your tropical wedding.

The D-Day

Destination Weddings Tulum will:

• Oversee the set-up of your ceremony and insure that all is to your liking.
• Coordinate and work with your wedding service providers
• Assist and coordinate the bridal party
• Coordinate the  ceremony, cocktail, reception and party
• Assist you and your family with any last-minute matters that may arise during all your wedding day.

Ceremony

There are different ways of conducting the wedding ceremonies. The Mexican Caribbean is a very popular place for brides and grooms whether Mexican or foreign to tie the knot on the beach. Having your wedding on the beach enables us to give you whatever ceremony you would like. There is such a diversity in beliefs, cultures, and ideas in the world and we can conform to yours. Your ceremony can fall into three different categories: Legal, Religious, and Symbolic.

Civil Ceremony This is the only legal wedding in Mexico. 800USD the taxes for the Judge to get you married; it’s for him and official papers translated and certificated by foreign minister. You will need : Blood analysis can be proceed in your hotel. Passport copy for both, birth certificate, and FMT. 4 witnesses with passport and FMT if there are foreign people or ID for Mexican. We need this paper at least 4 days before your wedding; the judge had to prepare everything.
Catholic Weddings Catholics can be married in the local parish church. The couple must have a certificate from their own parish priest which states that they have completed the required pre-marriage courses (pre-Cana). The service is in Spanish only
Protestant Weddings A minister comes to your wedding place for a simple ceremony. Note: Couples who have a wedding performed by a priest, or minister in Mexico do not receive a marriage licenseunless they also register with the justice of the peace.
Symbolic and Mayan Ceremony México is also famous for its belief in the magic of nature due to its ancestors. In Tulum and Maya Riviera there are many symbolic wedding ceremonies, performed by a Shaman who blesses the couple and clears you of any negative energy to leave room for only positive energy, so you are pure for this new phase in your lives. You can also create your own symbolic ceremony, writing your own vows and choose the ceremony that best suits your relationship and commitment. In a symbolic ceremony, anybody can perform the ceremony. If you do not have a person in mind, we work with a very nice minister who will have the pleasure to perform a sand ceremony and talk about your love.
