FAQ’s

  • Why Choose a Wedding in Tulum?

From welcome dinners to farewell brunches, every moment is carefully curated. We manage the flow of the entire weekend so you can enjoy your time with family and friends while knowing every detail is in expert hands

  • Why Do I Need a Local Wedding Planner?

A local planner provides insight, trusted vendor connections, and on-the-ground coordination that is essential when planning from afar. With our network and experience, we act as your spokesperson, ensuring communication flows seamlessly and every detail is handled—even when you’re miles away.

  • Why Destination Weddings Tulum?

We are pioneers in wedding planning in Tulum. For over 15 years we’ve been creating, designing, and producing weddings in the Riviera Maya. From beachfront villas to jungle hideaways, our expertise allows us to craft celebrations that are authentic, stylish, and in harmony with the environment.

  • How Far in Advance Should I Plan?

Ideally, 6–15 months allows the best availability for venues and vendors. However, we have planned beautiful weddings in just a few months. The earlier you begin, the more options you’ll have—but if you prefer a shorter timeline (couple of months), we’ll guide you through an efficient planning process.

  • Do You Offer Wedding Packages?

Our weddings are tailor-made; no two are ever alike. The most requested service is our Full Planning, where we handle every aspect including concierge, design, planning, and coordination. We also offer Month-of Coordination, where we finalize your plans and manage the big day so you can enjoy every moment.

  • What Types of Ceremonies Are Available?

    • Legal Ceremony – Officially recognized under Mexican law.

    • Symbolic Ceremony – No legal value, but fully personalized with vows and rituals (LGBTQ+ inclusive).

    • Religious Ceremony – Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Hindu, and more.

    • Mayan or Pre-Hispanic Ceremony – Ancient rituals to honor the elements and culture.

  • How Do I Choose the Right Venue?

We guide you through venues that fit your vision and priorities. Beach or jungle? Private villa or boutique hotel? Intimate chef’s table or festive BBQ? We’ll review your guest list, lodging needs, and budget to propose options that align with your celebration style.

  • How Should I Travel With My Wedding Dress?

We recommend carrying your gown in a garment bag as hand luggage. Most airlines allow special items to be hung in a closet on board—always call ahead to confirm policies. This way, your dress arrives safely and wrinkle-free with you.
